Steps to Enrollment
PVCC has an open admissions policy. You may apply and register for classes if you:
• Are at least 18 years of age,
• Or, if younger than 18, you have a high school diploma, GED® or have taken placements tests.
Submit an Online Application
Admission is free. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a Student ID number and username. Make sure to keep this information for your records.
Complete the Advising Questionnaire
Log in with your MyPVCC user name and password to guide you to the English and math classes best suited for you.
Apply for Financial Aid
All degree- and certificate-seeking students are encouraged to apply for financial aid. Financial aid may come in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, or work-study positions.
Complete the PVCC4U Intake Form
PVCC students who live in Virginia, have an adjusted gross family income of $100,000 or less, and enroll in 6 or more credit hours during Fall 2021/Spring 2022 semesters need to complete this form to be considered for PVCC4U coverage. Students must also complete the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the financial aid process, and be deemed eligible to receive Federal Student Aid to be considered for PVCC4U.
Meet with an Advisor
Make a phone or a Zoom (online platform) appointment for remote academic advisor help or if you are a recent high school graduate sign up for a SOAR session. Visit www.pvcc.edu/advising for assistance.
Register & Pay for Classes
Register for classes through MyPVCC at www.pvcc.edu/mypvcc. You will need the username and password you received after submitting your PVCC application. How to Register for Classes

Looking for Non-Credit Classes or Workforce Training Programs?
Through its Workforce Services Division, PVCC offers programming and short-term training for industry certification, professional development, career advancement, personal enrichment, and youth career education. You do not need to complete an application to enroll in these classes. Learn more at PVCC Workforce Services
