Testing Centers

Testing Center

Testing Center (M607 Main Building)

The PVCC Testing Center proctors placement tests, makeup tests, and tests for online courses.

Academic Tests
Instructors may make arrangements for online students and students receiving accommodations to take tests in the testing center.

Distance Learning Tests
Students living in the surrounding area but taking classes at other institutions may arrange to have tests proctored in the testing center. See the FAQ for more information.

Make-up Tests
With instructor permission, students may make up missed tests in the testing center. Students must make arrangements with their instructor.

Placement Tests
Most PVCC students do not need to take a placement test. If you graduated from high school within the past 5 years, your high school GPA and coursework will determine what courses you place into.  If you graduated from high school 6 years ago or longer, PVCC makes informed self-placement guides available to help you determine what courses you place into. Some non-native English speakers may need to take the Accuplacer to ensure proper course placement. Click placement or ask an advisor for assistance.

Pearson VUE Testing Center (M253 Main Building)

PVCC operates a Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center. It provides on-site, on-demand testing for certification and professional licensure exams.
