Make a Gift

Momentum Begins with Us

Employees are the heart and soul of Piedmont Virginia Community College! No matter your role, you make a difference at PVCC by sharing your ideas, talents and abilities. Your gift towards PVCC is just one more way to join colleagues in support of our College. There are over 100 funds you can choose from to directly support your passions at PVCC. Our goal is to have 100% employee participation, no gift is too small to make an impact. Momentum begins with US!

The Momentum Fund

As part of our commitment to aligning with the PVCC Strategic Plan, Momentum 2027, PVCC announces the rebranding of the annual fund to the Momentum Fund. This change reflects our dedication to propelling PVCC towards a future of growth, innovation and excellence. Learn more about the Momentum Fund.

Your Passion. Your Choice.

The power of an undesignated gift is that it provides the greatest flexibility in how funding is utilized. Alternatively, you may wish to specify an area of particular interest to you. Below is a sampling of existing funds which allow you to do this.

The Momentum Fund

The Momentum Fund is our annual giving fund, designed to provide unrestricted, current-use dollars in support of college priorities. Your contributions are put to immediate use, benefiting all aspects of campus life and proving especially valuable in addressing unforeseen situations. Learn more about the Momentum Fund.

Student Financial Resource Center

The Student Financial Resource Center connects students and their families to public, community, and campus resources to ensure they complete their programs of study. The Center offers a wide range of tools including a food pantry and clothing closet, book vouchers, crisis counseling, health referrals, financial education, and more.

Kathy Hudson Student Emergency Fund

The Kathy Hudson Student Emergency Grant Fund provides quick-response emergency grants to currently enrolled students in good academic standing who are facing a short-term financial emergency that may hinder successful academic progression or cause withdrawal from the college. The goal of the fund is to help students remain enrolled in classes.

Network2Work@PVCC

In our region, 9,413, or 14%, do not make enough money to pay for the essentials of life — food, shelter, clothing, and utilities, and the added costs associated with working childcare and transportation. The goal of Network2Work@PVCC is to help these families become self-sufficient by identifying jobs within their reach and positioning them to secure and excel in those jobs.

Frank Friedman Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning

The Frank Friedman Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning was created in 2022 with the goal to strengthen teaching across the College by connecting faculty with information, resources, and best practice ideas that enhance learning.

Great Expectations

PVCC's Great Expectations program is part of a statewide initiative that helps current and former foster care youth in Virginia to gain access to a community college education and transition successfully to living independently. Using PVCC resources and working with community agencies and individuals, Great Expectations provides students with a full menu of academic, career and support services.
