One-step financial aid and scholarship assistance

PVCC Educational Foundation Scholarships

The PVCC Educational Foundation offers over 100 scholarships each year. Scholarships come from a variety of sources, and unlike loans, do not have to be repaid.

There is no separate scholarship application. PVCC offers a one-step financial aid and scholarship assistance process. To be considered for any scholarship, financial aid, or grants, you must complete a FAFSA application. Scholarships, along with financial aid and grants, will be awarded through the financial aid office to meet each student's tuition, fees, and book needs.

The FAFSA application opened October 1, 2022. The application is located at www.fafsa.gov.  On your FAFSA, indicate PVCC as the institution you plan to attend for 2022-2023 and/or 2023-2024. The FAFSA application for 2022-2023 will use your tax information from 2020. The 2023-2024 application will use your 2021 tax information.

A New Scholarship Opportunity

Announcing the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation's Project Pathfinders Scholarships.  The VECF administers a scholarship program – Project Pathfinders – designed to increase the skills of early childhood professionals in preschool and child care settings by accessing community college coursework and credentials. Thanks to funding made available in the 2020-2021 biennial budget by Governor Northam and the 2018 General Assembly, we look forward to the opportunity to ensure that Virginia has the best trained early education workforce.
