Online Tutoring
We want students to be successful in their classes and to have access to tutoring services on campus and from home. Both The Tutoring Center and The Writing Center provide online tutoring via Zoom during their open hours.
Both centers encourage walk-ins, as well as appointments. Schedule an appointment through MY PVCC using Navigate Student or contact The Tutoring Center or The Writing Center for assistance.
To make a tutoring appointment in Navigate:
- Log in to MyPVCC
- Click the Navigate Student icon
- Click Appointments on the left side of the screen
- Follow the instructions on the screen
Tutoring Center
The Tutoring Center, M253 Main Building, assists students in math and math-based courses, such as science, technology and engineering. Meet with PVCC tutors on campus or online. Experienced tutors help students become more confident, more successful learners. Walk-ins are encouraged! Drop in today, or make an appointment.
Writing Center
The Writing Center offers writing assistance in any course as well as assistance with speech courses and presentations. Walk-ins are welcome. Visit the Writing Center, M617 Main Building, or click Virtual Writing Center. Use Navigate to make an appointment; or call 434.961.5499 or email tutoring@pvcc.edu for assistance.
Brainfuse
Brainfuse, the college's online tutoring partner, provides after-hours support in a variety of subjects (see below). Students may receive up to five hours (300 minutes) of online tutoring each semester: fall, spring, and summer.
To access Brainfuse:

- Click the Brainfuse icon
- Follow the instructions on the screen
