The PVCC Alumni Association recognizes as alumni any former student who has completed a class, earned a certificate or graduated with a degree. The Association was established to help students stay connected with each other and with the school. Alumni Association members create a healthy network of relationships in the community, through businesses, volunteering and participation in unique opportunities with PVCC.

The Distinguished Alumni Award
PVCC seeks to recognize outstanding PVCC alumni who have gained noteworthy success in their careers and who have made a positive difference for others through their success. The PVCC Educational Foundation established the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016 to recognize alumni who have made a significant impact within the PVCC community or the community in which they live.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented based on the following criteria:
• Community Service – Demonstration of a visible commitment to the community.
• Impact – Accomplishments which have changed the community for the better.
• Outstanding success – Significant career or personal achievements.
• Role Model – Inspiring excellence in others.
Alumni, community members, colleagues and others are encouraged to nominate alumni. Those nominated will have achieved local, state, regional and/or national or international recognition for their contributions and success. Nominees are recognized in PVCC news and communications; the award recipient is recognized in communications and honored at graduation.
PVCC License Plates
PVCC license plates are available from Virginia DMV or from any Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles location. Orders can be placed online and personalization is available. As a revenue-sharing plate, after the sale of the first 1,000 qualifying plates, $15 of the $25 fee is transferred to the PVCC Educational Foundation to support scholarships for Virginia students. A portion of the fee may also be tax deductible.
Alumni businesses are invited to partner with the Alumni Association to gain access to potential employees and interns. Businesses can also obtain job training for employees.
