Student Government Association

Purpose

The Student Government Association (SGA) engages students in the planning and implementing of educational and social events for the campus community. It functions as the student-led programming branch of the Office of Student Life, funded by student activities fees as determined by the Vice President for Student Affairs. SGA offers a variety of programs that promote academic, social, and vocational growth, fostering a more cohesive campus community and a stronger sense of belonging.

Feel free to share your suggestions for improving the PVCC community by contacting us at sga@pvcc.edu.

About SGA

All clubs and organizations are open to all full- and part-time PVCC students with the exception of the National Society of Leadership and Success and Phi Theta Kappa, which are both by invitation based on GPA.

This organization has members who are Piedmont Virginia Community College students and may have College employees associated with or engaged in its activities and affairs. These individuals are not spokespersons for the College but rather express their personal views.
