Academic Advising
Academic Advising supports and empowers students to reach their academic and career goals by promoting an environment of shared responsibility that fosters an ongoing collaboration between advisors and students. The PVCC academic advising model provides an ongoing, holistic advising experience that helps ensure students are more involved in their college experience and empowered to take charge of formulating and achieving their academic and career goals.
How to Meet with an Advisor:
In Person
Schedule an in-person appointment with an advisor through Navigate. Appointments will be re-opening for November appointments.
Online
Zoom and phone appointments can be scheduled through Navigate. Appointments will be re-opening for November appointments.
In Person Drop-In Advising: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm
Drop-in advising is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and is subject to advisor availability. Wait times may vary.

Pro Tip: If you are looking to do any of our competitive health programs (e.g., Nursing, Radiography, etc.), please refer to the Programs of Study page for pre-admission requirements and application instructions.
Pro Tip: Have a least 3 backup courses to prepare for any adjustments to your schedule.

- For our new students (not required to attend STAR) OR current students wanting to discuss transfer and/or long-term academic planning, please make an appointment with your assigned advisor (see list below)!

- Step 1: Log into MyPVCC.
- Step 2: Click on the "SIS" tile.
- Step 3: Click the "Navigate" tile to log in.
