Human Resources
Welcome to Human Resources at PVCC
What we do: The PVCC HR team works to recruit and support the development and retention of a highly skilled and engaged workforce and strives to remove or reduce obstacles hindering employee success.
How we do it: We ensure the fair and consistent administration of policies, compensation, and benefits plans, offer a safe and confidential place for resolving workplace concerns, and provide guidance, tools, and resources to support recruitment, onboarding, and recognition programs.
Why we do it: Our employees are critical to PVCC's success. When employees feel valued and supported, they are more likely to be motivated, engaged, and committed to their work, ultimately leading to better outcomes for both the organization and the students they serve.
The HR team supports PVCC's Strategic Goals by fostering an exemplary work environment, and a culture of belonging that empowers learning, workplace satisfaction, and opportunities for career success.
We work to cultivate a talent pool that is reflective of our student population and the communities we serve and ensure that college policies, procedures, practices and processes support employee wellbeing, productivity, and institutional efficiencies.

- Employees may take up to six credit hours per semester.
- Employees should complete the Opportunity Knocks Request Form and submit it to their immediate supervisor, who will obtain approvals from appropriate President’s Staff members.
