Giving Opportunities
Annual Fund
The Annual Fund raises unrestricted dollars that provide regular, ongoing support for student scholarships, innovative programs and other college priorities. The Annual Fund gives PVCC the flexibility to use the dollars where the need is greatest. In general, gifts are in the $25 to $1,000 range.
President's Society
The President’s Society recognizes the generous supporters who make PVCC a philanthropic priority each year through donations of $1,000 or more. This special group of alumni, friends, and supporters provide annual leadership gifts that allow the college to direct funds to areas of excellence, opportunity and need, and to support deserving students and dedicated faculty.
Endowments, Scholarships & Named Funds
PVCC offers more than 40 unique programs study at three campus locations. The PVCC Educational Foundation manages hundreds of gifts funds that support scholarships and program areas throughout the college.
Naming Opportunities
Naming opportunities are offered to honor the generous support of individuals and organizations that have contributed in a significant way to the advancement of PVCC. Philanthropic naming provides enduring recognition that creates a lasting legacy.
Special Initiatives
The PVCC Educational Foundation serves as a catalyst to provide funding for a number of special initiatives on campus.
Carpenter Society
The Carpenter Society was created to recognize those who have invested in Piedmont Virginia Community College and have realized the important legacy a planned gift creates.
Performing Arts
An important role of a comprehensive community college is offering the arts to its community. No matter the program, the goal at PVCC has been the same: to bring high quality visual and performing arts to students and to the community at affordable prices.
Giving Levels and Recognition
Giving club membership, especially annual gifts at the President's Society level, provides PVCC with the foundation of financial support that enables the college to offer quality education and to prepare students to meet the need of the local workforce.
