Student Club Operating Guidelines
All recognized student clubs operate during the Fall and Spring semesters. Club activities will conclude on May 15 of the Spring semester to allow sufficient time for the Office of Student Life to process reimbursements, complete required paperwork, and close out the academic year.
Beginning August 15, club advisors may resubmit their club application for the upcoming academic year. Once the application has been reviewed and approved by the Office of Student Life, the club will be notified of its eligibility to participate in the September Club Fair.
To begin active club operations, the Club President and Treasurer are required to attend the Club Roundtable. The roundtable will provide required training and information regarding club expectations, responsibilities, funding, event planning, and Student Life procedures.
Following completion of the Club Roundtable, clubs may begin holding active meetings and may submit requests to table in the Main Event Space and participate in other approved Student Life activities. Through involvement in clubs and organizations, you will find opportunities to develop new skills and interests, make new friends, enhance your academic experience and engage in community outreach and service.
All clubs and organizations are open to all full- and part-time PVCC students with the exception of the National Society of Leadership and Success and Phi Theta Kappa, which are both are by invitation based on GPA. The Office of Student Life & Campus Engagement (OSLCE) is responsible for coordinating and implementing the policies and procedures pertaining to the operation of campus organizations and activities.

Starting a New Club
If you are interested in starting a new club, follow these steps:
- Read the Student Clubs and Activities Manual
- (after obtaining a faculty/staff member sponsor) - Complete the New Student Club/Organization Interest Form
- Create a Constitution and Bylaws (see Sample Club Constitution and Bylaws)
- Submit the Constitution/Bylaws to studentlife@pvcc.edu
