Funding Assistance

You may qualify for financial help, but funds are limited and not guaranteed. Funding is awarded first-come, first-served and may run out at any time.

To qualify for funding assistance, you must:

  • Be eligible for Virginia in-state tuition (you must meet Virginia domicile rules and have lived in Virginia for at least one year.)
  • Have a household income at or below 400% of the federal poverty level (2025 Guidelines).
  • Be enrolled or accepted into an approved program at a Virginia public community college.
  • Meet Selective Service requirements (if this applies to you)

Workforce Development provides funding assistance for FastForward programs that lead to an industry credential. In many cases, prospective students qualify for funding that supports the full cost of the program.
