G3: Get skilled. Get a job. Give back.
The G3 initiative is designed to change lives! With G3, PVCC offers a variety of programs that “stack” to in-demand degrees, and prepare students for high-demand jobs. Through the program, eligible students pursuing jobs in high-demand fields can have tuition, fees, and books fully covered.
Participants in G3 have access to the same first-rate education always available at PVCC, get a step closer to earning a degree or certificate, and get a jump on changing the game with a job or career...at little or no cost.
Who is Eligible
Any Virginia resident who:
- Qualifies for in-state tuition
- Has a total household income of less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (rough income of $100,000 for family of four)
- Is enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours or in an eligible workforce training program
- Is enrolled in a designated G3 program
- Has applied for federal and/or state financial aid programs
PVCC offers a variety of in-demand program certificates, degrees, and workforce training to prepare students for high-demand jobs. Demand is soaring for these jobs and opportunities are growing in areas like advanced manufacturing, skilled trades, cyber security, IT, health care, early childhood education, and protective services. Identify the career you want and get started today!
G3 programs are designed to fit around the busy schedules of working students. Most programs have three levels that build on each other. After each level, you earn a certification that can lead to a job. This means you can take breaks between training without losing progress along the way to an associate degree.
