Program Information
Gain foundational skills in machining including job planning, benchwork and layout. Topics include precision measuring instruments, layout tools, and procedures, hand tools and benchwork, metal-cutting saws and drilling machines.
Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the Job Planning, Benchwork and Layout credential exam offered by the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
Note: This credential program is the second in a series of six industry credentials for entry-level machining professionals.
