Program Information
From refrigerators to automobiles, circuit boards are everywhere! This program focuses on the knowledge and practical skills to produce high-quality soldered interconnections and prepares students for employment as a circuit board assembler, technician and quality assurance specialist. Topics include safety, materials, methods, process control, requirements for a broad range of electrical connections and verification criteria needed to produce high-quality soldered leaded and lead-free interconnections. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for the J-STD-001 endorsement credential offered by IPC, the Association Connecting Electronics Industries credentialing agency.
