Late Seating
When attending a ticketed event, please allow extra time to park, locate restrooms and retrieve tickets. The doors to the theatre open 30 minutes before showtime unless otherwise noted.
MAIN STAGE THEATRE: For the consideration of the performers and the audience, anyone arriving while a performance is in progress must remain outside the theatre until a designated seating time and may be asked to sit in the back of the theatre until intermission.
MAXWELL BLACK BOX THEATRE: Due to the intimate size of this theatre, no late seating is allowed.
Food and Beverages
Food and beverages are not permitted in the Maxwell Black Box Theatre or the Main Stage Theatre.
Cameras/Electronic Devices
The use of video or sound recording devices during a performance is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of the performers and Piedmont Virginia Community College. In addition, many performers have a no-camera policy (including cell phone cameras) and PVCC is required to enforce this on their behalf. When in doubt, ask the Box Office Manager or another theatre staff member.
Patrons with cellular telephones, alarm watches and/or electronic paging systems will be asked to turn their devices off prior to the start of each performance. To ensure all patrons can enjoy their outing without distractions, we ask that all refrain from making and receiving phone calls, and from texting while a production is underway.
Children
All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket for admittance to the theatre. Although all ages are welcome at PVCC performances, please consider whether a particular event is appropriate for children under five. PVCC reserves the right to request that a child be removed from the theatre if he/she is unable to sit quietly through a performance. Child/booster seats are not available.
