Night of Stand-up Comedy Featuring Robert Mac and Colby Knight Coming to PVCC

Charlottesville, Va. – March 19, 2024 –The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Office of Student Life and Campus Engagement and PVCC Fine Arts and Performance will host a night of stand-up comedy for April Fools’ Day, Monday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. Self-described “unsung legend of the Washington D.C. comedy scene” Robert Mac joins forces with staple of the local comedy scene Colby Knight for an evening of brainy, dead-pan comedy in the Main Stage Theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson Building.

Robert Mac was the grand-prize winner of Comedy Central’s national stand-up competition and has appeared on Last Comic Standing, The Learning Channel, Comedy Central and many shows that have since gone off the air. He’s performed at the prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, the San Francisco Comedy Competition, the Laughing Skull Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival, to name a few. He is "either a smart guy who comes off as very stupid or a stupid guy who thinks he’s very smart."

Colby Knight has over five years of experience performing at venues including the Richmond Funny Bone Comedy Club, Sandman Comedy Club and showcases across Virginia. Whether he’s joking about Hallmark movies, a party bus funeral, or how the Wiggles can help end sexism, Knight admits that he’s “really just trying to prove to his dad that comedy is a valid pursuit.”
