Reasonable Accommodations for Employees

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is committed to providing equal access to employment opportunities for persons with disabilities PVCC provides reasonable accommodation to qualified employees with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

The College has procedures for responding to requests for workplace accommodations that allow the College to process requests in a prompt, fair, and efficient manner. PVCC's Office of Human Resources also provides guidance to employees with disabilities on how to request accommodations and what to expect.

An employee who is seeking reasonable accommodations, should reach out to the College's designated ADA Coordinator to engage in the assessment and interactive process. The ADA Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the prompt, fair, efficient review, and determination of employee requests for reasonable accommodation.
