Ongoing Efforts

PVCC views accessibility as an ongoing effort, not a one-time goal. As we publish new content and update existing materials, accessibility review is a standard part of the process.

Ongoing efforts include:

  • Web pages run through W3C compliant validators to monitor compliance with WCAG guidelines.
  • Providing documents in accessible formats, including properly tagged PDFs.
  • Ensuring adequate color contrast and readable font sizes.
  • Adding alternative text to images.
  • Using meaningful link descriptions.
  • Structuring content with proper headings for screen reader compatibility.
  • Testing materials with assistive technologies.

Feedback is welcome. Your input helps us improve the overall experience. Contact us at webdev@pvcc.edu if you encounter issues with accessibility while using the PVCC website.
