PVCC Music Club to Host Fundraiser Concert - canceled

Charlottesville, Va. – March 10, 2020The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Music Club will hold a fundraiser concert featuring modern classical music performers “Duo Sureño” and saxophonist Laurent Estoppey on Saturday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m.  The concert will take place in the V. Earl Dickinson Building’s Main Stage Theatre, located on the PVCC main campus in Charlottesville. Admission to the performance is by “pay what you will” donation.

PVCC Fine Arts and Performance Season to Feature Free Screening of Jojo Rabbit - canceled

Charlottesville, Va. – March 5, 2020 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Fine Arts and Performance season will continue with “Free Movie Friday” on March 20, at 7:30 p.m., featuring a screening of the 2019 Oscar-winning satirical dark comedy “Jojo Rabbit.” The film will be shown in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the PVCC main campus in Charlottesville.

PVCC Fine Arts and Performance Season Continues Free Movie Friday With Queen & Slim

Charlottesville, Va. – February 10, 2020 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Fine Arts and Performance season continues with “Free Movie Friday” on February 21, at 7:30 p.m., featuring a screening of the 2019 drama “Queen & Slim.” The film will be shown in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the main campus in Charlottesville.

PVCC hosts singer-songwriter John McCutcheon and new arts event

As part of its 2018-19 Fine Arts and Performance season, Piedmont Virginia Community College will host “Sound & Vision,” a day-long series of free visual and performing arts events, followed by a concert by singer-songwriter John McCutcheon on Saturday, April 27. Sound & Vision will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with McCutcheon’s performance starting at 7:30 p.m. Events will take place in the V. Earl Dickinson Building, located on the college’s Main Campus in Charlottesville.

One Mic Stand returns to PVCC on April 11

Piedmont Virginia Community College will host its “One Mic Stand” series for spoken word artists on Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m., in the Maxwell Black Box Theatre, located in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville.

Hosted by writer, promoter and filmmaker Ty Cooper, One Mic Stand is an open platform to share spoken word works and enjoy the mix of talents and styles that others have to offer. Past performances have featured poetry, comedy, political satire, personal storytelling and more.
