PVCC to Host In-Form: Shapes of Contemporary Improvisation Workshop Session

Charlottesville, Va. – March 2, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) will host a session of its “In-form: Shapes of Contemporary Improvisation” workshop series with veteran improv practitioner Michelle James on Friday, March 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. The workshop will take place in the Maxwell Black Box Theatre, located in the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Admission is free and no experience is required to take part.

PVCC to Host Historical Interpreter Morgan McCoy in Evolution of a Black Girl: From the Slave House to the White House

Charlottesville, Va. – January 30, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College will host actor, author and historical interpreter Morgan McCoy in her one-woman original show, “Evolution of a Black Girl: From the Slave House to the White House.” The performance is part of the PVCC 2019-20 Fine Arts and Performance season and will take place on Saturday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m., in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building.

Charlottesville, Va. – January 9, 2020 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College Fine Arts and Performance season will continue with Free Movie Friday on January 17, at 7:30 p.m., featuring a screening of the 2019 biographical drama “Harriet.” The film will be shown in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the PVCC Main Campus in Charlottesville.

Piedmont Virginia Community College Visual Arts Department to Hold Thirteenth Annual Let There Be Light Outdoor Art Exhibition

The Piedmont Virginia Community College Visual Arts Department will hold its thirteenth annual “Let There Be Light” outdoor art exhibition on Friday, December 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition will be in and around the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the main campus in Charlottesville. This event is part of PVCC’s Fine Arts and Performance season and is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the event will be held on Saturday, December 14, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Piedmont Virginia Community College Chorus to Present Holiday Concert

The Piedmont Virginia Community College Chorus will perform its annual “Holiday Concert” on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. The performance will be held in the Main Stage Theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson Building, located on the main campus in Charlottesville. The public is invited to attend this free performance celebrating the approach of the holiday season.

Piedmont Virginia Community College Theatre Department to Present Spamalot as Its Fall Production

The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Theatre Department will present Monty Python’s outrageous and irreverent musical SPAMALOT as its fall production. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, Friday, Nov. 22, and Saturday, Nov. 23. A matinee performance will take place on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be held in the V. Earl Dickinson Building’s Main Stage Theatre, located on the PVCC main campus in Charlottesville.
