How PVCC is helping her reach her goals: "The Watterson Scholarship is enabling me to study to become a speech therapist. My family and I are so grateful to PVCC for its support, generosity and commitment to education. I remember being on the campus when my mother and grandmother were PVCC students. They became teachers, and I always wanted to follow in their footsteps."
What she likes best about PVCC: "The faculty, students and staff create a warm, welcoming, inclusive and compassionate community."
Future plans: "I hope to transfer to UVA's Curry School of Education to study speech and communication disorders and become a licensed speech therapist, with a goal of working in a rehabilitation setting helping stroke and brain injury survivors."
