PVCC is piloting a new text message service to help students complete their degrees. An initial study conducted in partnership with UVA found that these text messages increased the number of students that continued in college and graduated.
Throughout the semester, participating students will receive text messages from a PVCC advisor, Deanne Browning, to help students choose courses that help them complete their program of study, maximize how much financial aid they receive if they apply, and connect to helpful campus resources. Deanne will respond individually to questions and messages she receives from students. This is a great opportunity to get personalized advising at PVCC from the convenience of your phone!
Piedmont Virginia Mobile Support is a pilot program. If successful, it will grow to serve more students in future terms. For questions, please contact Deanne Browning at email@example.com
