Job and Internship Postings
Use JobNet, a free online recruiting service for employers to post job and internship opportunities. Students have 24/7 access to your postings. Another way to advertise at PVCC is through the job board, located in the Main Building outside room M132. This space includes announcements about PVCC job fairs and regional recruiting events. If you want to post information on the job board, email detailed information to the Career Services Office.
Employers are always welcome to recruit on-campus. Reserving an information / recruiting table in the Bolick Student Center is best done Monday through Thursday between 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (or a subset of that time depending on your availability). To view who has reserved a table, visit the online calendar. To arrange on-campus visits, contact PVCC's Career Services Office.
Employers benefit from a pool of skilled applicants, lower recruitment costs and a structured career development program. Through PVCC's Internship Program, students integrate classroom study with related work experience in business, industry, government, nonprofits or professional associations.
SDV Class Speaker – You would be invited to speak to a student development (SDV) class about your areas of expertise, your company, and the industry in which you work. Your name will be placed on a guest list based upon the career cluster (metamajor) you represent. Students in these classes have already expressed an interest in the career field. The SDV instructor will contact you to coordinate arrangements for your presentation. The purpose is to introduce students to careers with industry-specific experts within a classroom setting.
Career Information Speaker – You would be invited to speak to students who may or may not be interested in an industry-specific career field. You may be asked to speak alone or on a panel. These information sessions are usually scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays at lunch time. The career services manager will coordinate these events. The purpose is to help students learn about a particular industry or career field.
