PVCC is a designated Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center. Pearson VUE Authorized Test Centers are privately owned, third-party testing facilities which provide on-site, on-demand testing for certification and professional licensure exams. As one of the only Pearson VUE Authorized Testing Center’s in the Charlottesville area, this well-respected authorization gives PVCC the ability to test students and area citizens pursuing key industry certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft and important academic exams such as the Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment (VCLA) and the GED®.
PVCC’s Pearson VUE Test Center (PVTC) is housed in the First Quadrant Math Center, which is located in room M253 in the Main Building on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville. The PVTC is open to the general public. For the most up-to-date list of hours or other information, visit www.pvcc.edu/pearson.
Types of testing: Through Pearson, hundreds of exams are offered. However, some of the most common exams we’ve seen so far are the GED, VCLA (Virginia Communication and Literacy Assessment), CompTIA exams, and Microsoft exams.
Fees vary by exam and will be determined when a person schedules their exam through this website: https://home.pearsonvue.com/test-taker.aspx.
Anyone in the surrounding community can take an exam. The center is open to the general public.
