Academic Support Services employs academic coaches, receptionists, and tutors in the First Quadrant Math Center and the Writing Center. It also hires Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders.
Coaches help students access resources, manage priorities, prepare for exams and set goals. Coaching promotes deep learning and facilitates student success for the long haul, during and after college. ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR.
Receptionists staff front desk in the Writing Center or the First Quadrant Math Center, or both. Greet and assist students as needed, complete administrative tasks, and assist with special projects. Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders
SI Leaders facilitate regularly scheduled, peer-assisted study sessions for difficult courses in anatomy & physiology, economics, mathematics, and natural sciences. SI Leader application. Seeking SI Leaders for BIO 141 Anatomy & Physiology, ECO 201 Macroeconomics, ECO 202 Microeconomics, MTH 167 Precalculus, and NAS 2 Foundations of Life Science for the 2018-2019 academic year. ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THE FALL 2018 SEMESTER.
Tutors typically specialize in a few subjects, and they help students who are struggling with concepts or processes or who want to strengthen their knowledge in a particular subject. Seeking math and writing tutors for the 2018-2019 academic year. ALL PAID POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED FOR THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR.
