NSG 152 - Health Care ParticipantFocuses on the health and wellness of diverse individuals, families, and the community throughout the lifespan. Covers concepts that focus on client attributes and preferences regarding healthcare. Emphasizes population-focused care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories, clinical/community settings, and/or cooperating agencies, and/or simulated environments. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
PNE 186 - Nursing Concepts IIntroduces principles of nursing including concepts of health, wellness, illness and the nursing process. Develops nursing skills to meet the multidimensional needs of individuals across the life span. Includes computer skills related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Prerequisite/corequisite: BIO 145 or BIO 141; Prerequisite: Admission into the Practical Nursing program. Lecture 5 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 8 hours per week.
