Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Susan Kabadi earned her undergraduate from the University of Virginia in 2014. To follow her long-time interest in the healthcare industry, Susan enrolled in PVCC’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and completed her degree in 2017. She has been working as an Ultrasound Technologist at the University of Virginia Health System ever since and enjoys working with patients and keeping up with the ever-changing technology. Susan is also a graduate student at the George Washington University.
Professional Billing & Coding Manager
Sarah Sotherden has been working in the healthcare industry for over 12 years. She is has been a certified professional coder for 8 years and certified professional medical auditor for 4 years. She is currently a Coding Manager with Sentara Physician Billing where she has medical coding oversight for various surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular and General Surgery. Sarah has helped drive the flexible telework policy for her department and now have over 40 medical coders working in a remote capacity and hopes to continue to meet the industry standards for medical coding professionals. She is currently working towards her Masters in Healthcare Administration at Mary Baldwin University.
Clinical Education Team Coordinator
Camilla Washington earned her undergraduate nursing degree from James Madison University. She has been in the healthcare industry for 26 years with the past nine years being spent with Sentara Martha Jefferson Medical Group as the Clinical Education Team Coordinator. She is responsible for healthcare compliance, policy and procedure review, process improvement, and guiding clinical quality initiatives. She will graduate in November from Walden University with a master of science degree in nursing with a focus on nurse executive leadership.
