Spanish Club (Club De Español)

  • Three members of Spanish club and club advisor stand with their arms around each others' shoulders. There is a table in front of them with food and drinks.
  • Spanish club advisor stands smiling and presenting a foil pan containing tamales. He is wearing a traditional embroidered shirt.
  • Spanish club advisor and student sit smiling behind a table decorated with the Spanish and Argentinian flags at Club Fair.

The Spanish Club meets twice each month to chat in Spanish, share food and music, watch films, play games such as lotería or Manzanas con manzanas, hear occasional presentations, make crafts such as papel picado or cascarones, meet visitors from other countries, and organize club events such as visits to local restaurants, the Casa Bolivar at UVA or a local salsa class. Students of all levels - from novices to native speakers - are welcome to attend.
