Senior Citizens

If you are 60 or older and meet the eligibility requirements below, you may qualify for a tuition waiver for credit classes at PVCC.

Eligibility

  • To qualify for the tuition waiver, you must:
    • Be 60 or older.
    • Have been in Virginia for at least one year (not the same as residency).
    • Have earned $23,850 or less in the past taxable year (if taking a class for credit).
    • Pay for books, lab fees, and other course materials not covered by the waiver.

Enrollment Information

  • Fee-paying students are admitted first. Senior citizens are enrolled on a space-available basis after the late-add deadline.
  • You may take up to three audited courses per semester under the waiver.
  • You may also choose to pay to guarantee your seat, but once the semester begins, you cannot switch to fee-waiver status.
