The Nursing Assistant Career Studies Certificate at Piedmont Virginia Community College prepares students to take the Virginia state nursing assistant certification exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). CNAs provide personal care to patients in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, doctors' offices, clinics and private homes.
