Piedmont Virginia Community College Fine Arts and Performance Season Hosts Larnell Starkey and the Spiritual Seven

Charlottesville, Va. – January 10, 2020 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Fine Arts and Performance department will host gospel band “Larnell Starkey and the Spiritual Seven” on Saturday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the PVCC Main Campus in Charlottesville.

Known by many as the "Gospel Temptations," Larnell Starkey and the Spiritual Seven’s music blends traditional gospel with contemporary soul and showcases the group's vocal harmonies, from high-flying falsettos to the deep rich sounds of the low bass. The group is made up of brothers, sons and cousins who grew up making music together in churches and on stages throughout Virginia. For more than 50 years, this award-winning ensemble has moved the spirit of people of all ages and denominations. 

Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.pvcc.edu/performingarts, by calling the PVCC Box Office at 434.961.5376 (major credit cards accepted), by visiting Greenberry’s Coffee (Barracks Road Shopping Center) or the PVCC Cashier’s Office during normal business hours. Tickets may also be purchased starting two hours prior to the performance at the PVCC Box Office, located in the lobby of the V. Earl Dickinson Building at the south end of College Drive.
