Charlottesville Ballet Returns to PVCC with Salute to Military Veterans November 8

Charlottesville, Va. – October 30, 2025 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) will host the return of Charlottesville Ballet for “Salute,” an afternoon of dance in honor and remembrance of our nation's military veterans. Showcasing dynamic choreography and dance styles–from classical and contemporary, to spiritual, jazz and swing–the program honors American stories and traditions and celebrates the courage and sacrifice of those who serve. This third year of hosting a Salute concert to mark the Veterans Day holiday will take place Saturday, November 8, at 3 p.m., in the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Admission is free.

On the program are classical ballet and new works by several artists including Charlottesville Ballet’s Resident Choreographer Keith Lee, Co-Founder Sara Clayborne, and Artistic Associate Ty Cooper Grace. Returning to the stage and back by popular demand is fan favorite “A Military Fanfare” by choreographer, dance educator, and Army Ranger spouse Mary Hein.
