PVCC Bolick Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting
Tuesday, September 17, Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) held its ribbon cutting ceremony for the Woodrow W. Bolick Advanced Technology and Student Success Center (The Bolick Center), marking the official grand opening.
The Bolick Center is named in honor of Woodrow W. Bolick, a founding PVCC College Board member.
The Center serves as a vibrant hub for academic life, showcasing the College's comprehensive commitment to student success. The space affords the consolidation of student onboarding and services in one modern, convenient location, to better serve students. The facility is a net-zero energy building and is the first in the Virginia Community College System to use 100 percent alternative energy.
The facility includes advanced manufacturing, robotics, cybersecurity and forensics labs, instructional spaces, administrative offices, a café and student meeting spaces. Advising and other student support services are housed in the new facility, providing everything new students need to begin their journey at PVCC.
