PVCC Announces 2023 Student Exhibition and Eighth Annual Chocolate Chow Down

Charlottesville, Va. – April 5, 2023 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) art department will host a chocolate-laden opening reception in the PVCC Gallery to celebrate the annual showing of works by student artists, Friday, April 14. The “2023 Student Exhibition and Eighth Annual Chocolate Chow Down” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., in the North and South Galleries of the V. Earl Dickinson Building.

The exhibition features a curated selection of works by student artists from the latest academic year along with copious amounts of chocolate to sample while viewing the art. Artistic media will include painting, drawing, ceramics, graphic design, digital media, sculpture and more. The exhibition runs through September 4.  

The reception also features the return of the PVCC Art Club’s “Color-In” event. Attendees are invited to stop by the color-in tables during the event and use provided materials to color a design.

The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of 501 College Drive on the PVCC main campus in Charlottesville. Ample, free parking is located in front of the building and the facility is wheelchair accessible.
