Piedmont Virginia Community College to Host Latin Ballet of Virginia

Latin Ballet of Virginia Alma Latina

Charlottesville, Va. – October 6,  2022 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Fine Arts and Performance will welcome the Latin Ballet of Virginia, Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 7:30 p.m.. The performance,  “Alma Latina” (Latin Soul), will take place at the V. Earl Dickson Building Main Stage Theatre on the PVCC main campus in Charlottesville.

From the passionate fury of flamenco to salsa dance, mambo, reggaeton and tango’s smoldering heat, the Latin Ballet of Virginia uses the expressive beauty of movement to weave the tales and traditions that are the heart and soul of Hispanic culture.

"Alma Latina" features a special guest appearance by internationally known flamenco dancer from Valencia, Spain, Francisco "El Mesa" Nano, and live music by Richmond's Ban Caribe, a band with an exciting blend of Afro-Cuban, Latin and Caribbean music led by percussionist Kevin Davis.

Tickets for this event are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. Patrons are encouraged to purchase advance tickets online at www.pvcc.edu/performingarts or by calling the PVCC Box Office at 434.961.5376 (major credit cards accepted).
