PVCC Health Sciences Programs Expo – Preparing Individuals for Careers in Healthcare

Charlottesville, Va. – February 15, 2022 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is hosting a Health Sciences Programs Expo, Tuesday, February 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Expo is intended for anyone interested in a career in the healthcare industry. High school students are encouraged to attend with parents. The event will be held in the main building on the PVCC main campus. Masks are required for everyone while inside all PVCC facilities.

Attendees can prepare for a career in the healthcare industry by learning about the programs and training available at PVCC. Participants will gain insight into: enrolling at PVCC, health career course requirements and career opportunities in the region. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with PVCC faculty and program administrators, including workforce services program leaders, and UVA Health and Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital representatives.

Presentations will cover education and training for diagnostic medical sonography, emergency medical services, nursing and practical nursing, pharmacy technicians, radiography and advanced imaging.
