PVCC Fine Arts and Performance Division Announces February Free Movie Friday – King Richard
Charlottesville, Va. – February 10, 2022 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Fine Arts and Performance season continues with “Free Movie Friday,” February 18, at 7:30 p.m., featuring a screening of the 2021 biographical drama “King Richard.” The film will be shown in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on the main campus in Charlottesville. Masks/face coverings are required to be worn at all times by all attendees while indoors.
King Richard follows the true story of Richard Williams, the determined father and coach of famed tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, as he implements his plan to raise two of the most successful women athletes in history. It was named one of the best films of 2021 by the American Film Institute and earned four Golden Globe Award nominations, with title role actor Will Smith winning the award for “Best Actor” in a drama.

The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive. Ample, free parking is available and the building is wheelchair accessible.
