PVCC to Hold Education and Career Resource Fair – October 19

Charlottesville, Va. – October 14, 2021 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is holding an Education and Career Resource Fair, Tuesday, October 19, from 6-8:00 p.m., at the main campus. This free event is open to the public and provides an excellent way to meet with faculty and program leaders, learn about programs of study, student services and internal and external student resources.

If you are considering enrolling at PVCC in the spring 2022 semester, thinking about a career change or gaining new skills for the workplace, make plans to attend this Fair.

The Education and Career Resource Fair provides a great way to explore programs of study and education paths that lead to careers. Participating programs include: Accounting, Advanced Manufacturing: Electronics/Industrial Engineering, Business, Culinary Arts , Pharmacy Technician, Radiography and Advanced Medical Imaging, Sciences: Biology and Chemistry, Thomas Jefferson Adult Career Education @PVCC, Network2Work @PVCC and Workforce Services: credential programs.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about transfer programs from PVCC to four-year colleges and universities in Virginia.
  • Meet representatives from Old Dominion University, University of Virginia, Mary Baldwin University and James Madison University.
  • Prepare for enrollment at the financial aid, career services and student support services presentations.

Focused presentations include:

  • Academic Support Services | 6 p.m.
  • Career Services | 6:30 p.m.
  • PVCC Transfer Process | 7 p.m.
  • Financial Aid | 7:30 p.m.

Participating Charlottesville organizations include The Women’s Initiative and The She Shelter (Shelter for Help in Emergency).
