PVCC Holding Veterans Education and Transition Services Information Sessions for New Military Students

Charlottesville, Va. – June 10, 2021 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is holding Veterans Education and Transition Services (VETS) information sessions for new military students interested in using VA Educational Benefits at PVCC in the upcoming fall semester. The information sessions are held via Zoom on Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Upcoming session dates are:

•    June 16
•    July 14, 21 and 28
•    August 11, 18 and 25

During the free sessions, participants receive assistance with the application process for admissions and VA educational benefits. Important information about military exceptions for residency requirements, financial aid, career services, disability services and credit for prior learning is also covered. New student consultations are available on the same day as the information sessions, from 1– 4 p.m., on the hour. Students who are not available for an individual session on the same day that they attend the general information session can schedule an appointment at a more convenient time.
