PVCC Announces PVCC4U. 100%! – A New Tuition Assistance Program for Fall Semester 2021 and Spring Semester 2022
Charlottesville, Va. – May 3, 2021 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) announces an innovative, one-time tuition assistance program that will cover 100 percent of tuition and fees in fall 2021 and spring 2022, for qualifying students. This program is intentionally designed to make impact and help the community rebound from the pandemic, and is made possible by a combination of federal, state and institutional funds.
“PVCC is 100 percent committed to helping ensure access to quality education and we are ready to fully cover tuition and fees for as many students as possible for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. This is the right program at the right time to help students start, continue or complete their college education in order to prepare for a good job and a career in the post-pandemic world,” stated PVCC President Frank Friedman.
To be eligible for 100 percent coverage in the fall, students must:
• Be a Virginia resident
• Enroll in 6 credit hours or more in the upcoming fall semester
• Complete the financial aid application process
• Have a family income of $100,000 or less or have been laid off or furloughed due to COVID-19
Tuition and fees will also be covered in spring semester 2022 for students who qualify in the fall, and who:
• Successfully complete 6 credit hours or more in the fall with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
• Enroll in 6 credit hours or more in the spring semester
