PVCC Ranks as #1 Virginia Community College in 2021 Niche Rankings
Charlottesville, Va. – November 16, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is ranked as the number one community college in the state of Virginia in the 2021 Niche rankings, released this fall. The rankings are based on “analysis of academic, admissions, financial, and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with reviews from students and alumni,” according to the organization. The ranking compares more than 1,000 top colleges and universities in the U.S. and evaluates key statistics and student review data.
“There are many outstanding community colleges in Virginia. To be ranked #1 by Niche is a recognition of the talent, dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff. Because of their efforts PVCC students succeed and that is our goal,” stated PVCC President Frank Friedman.
PVCC is also currently the “#1 small community college” in the Military Friendly® School ‘20-‘21 ranking; is one of “Americas Best Colleges for Student Voting” (Washington Monthly, 2020); and is ranked in the Nursing Schools Almanac top twenty for “Best Associate Degree in Nursing Programs” for 2020.
