PVCC 47th Commencement Ceremony – Virtual Graduation and Drive-Through Celebration

Charlottesville, Va. – August 10, 2020 – Piedmont Virginia Community College will hold its 47th Commencement Ceremony honoring the Class of 2020 on August 17, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. The ceremony will include messages from fellow classmates, faculty and staff, PVCC President Frank Friedman, and a keynote message from Senator Mark Warner.

The virtual ceremony will be followed by a 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. drive-through celebration on the main campus, during which time students will safely proceed through campus in their automobiles, be celebrated by faculty and staff, and receive special graduate totes that include diploma covers, new alumni keepsakes, and other commemorative items.

The plan allows PVCC to safely honor graduates and their families. This year’s graduates will also have the opportunity to participate in the spring 2021 traditional ceremony.

PVCC students have exemplified commitment to their educational goals and observing these accomplishments with ceremony and celebration is of great importance. The students are to be commended for their undeterred dedication and achievements.
