PVCC Art Department Launches Virtual Student Art Show
Charlottesville, Va. – May 18, 2020 – The Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) Art Department has launched the “PVCC Student Art Show 2020,” a virtual exhibition to highlight the achievements of student artists over the latest academic year. The website, accessible online at www.pvcc.edu/performingarts, showcases the work of more than 40 PVCC students in diverse media including paintings, drawings, digital illustrations, pottery, sculpture, animations and more.
PVCC art faculty members worked with students to present their work in a digital format, which was “an epic effort,” said Beryl Solla, Professor of Art and Chair of Visual and Performing Arts. “Despite the challenges they faced in this difficult time, our students produced a powerful body of work.”
