PVCC’s award-winning Network2Work program is moving to a new location
The Network2Work@PVCC program is moving to a new location in downtown Charlottesville to provide more space for those seeking quality, family-sustaining jobs. Job seekers, employers and volunteers assisting those along their pathway to career ladder opportunities can now all meet at 222 South Street West, just a few blocks off the Downtown Mall and a few blocks from its former location at the Jefferson School City Center.
Network2Work@PVCC is a community network that connects job seekers to the skills and resources they need to become valued employees and helps employers find the quality employees they need. The program currently partners with over 175 community organizations and employers to maximize existing regional resources.
“This new location allows for a dedicated space for our job seekers to chart a pathway to greater economic opportunity. We’re excited to be here and very thankful to have access to this generous space,” said Ridge Schuyler, Dean of Community Self Sufficiency Programs at PVCC.
Along with the new space, Network2Work@PVCC is expanding the number of employers in the region to more than 80 companies and organizations. Currently, Network2Work@PVCC is recruiting for central Virginia jobs that offer a combined $8.2 million in income.
In addition to new space, Network2Work@PVCC is unveiling a new role for volunteer navigators to help the job seekers along their pathway to quality employment.
