Piedmont Virginia Community College will continue its 2018-19 Fine Arts and Performance season with the first “Third Fridays Improv” workshop in the monthly series on Friday, Sept. 21, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the V. Earl Dickinson Building.

The PVCC Drama Club sponsors the workshop series, which will introduce the basic tools, rules and philosophy behind various forms of improvisational theatre. Assistant Professor of Theatre Brad Stoller will lead participants in a series of games and exercises that can benefit actors and non-actors alike, culminating with the chance to stage a live performance in spring 2019.

“Third Fridays Improv” is free and open to the public. No previous experience is required to participate. Participants should pre-register by contacting Professor Stoller at 434.961.5246 or bstoller@pvcc.edu.

Additional dates in the series include Oct. 19 and Nov. 16, 2018, and Jan. 18, Feb. 15, and March 15, 2019.

The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville. Ample, free parking is located in front of the building and the facility is wheelchair accessible.
