PVCC to hold auditions for “As You Like It” in September

Piedmont Virginia Community College’s Theatre Department will hold singing auditions for its fall theatrical production of a folk-pop musical adaptation of William Shakespeare’s "As You Like It" on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and Thursday, Sept. 6, each day from 7 to 9:15 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 2 to 4:15 p.m. Auditions will take place in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville.

Performances of this well-received NYC Public Theatre adaptation of the legendary bard's classic work are slated to take place Nov. 29 through Dec. 2, 2018. The play has roles for 11 principal actors, consisting of six women and five men, and seven supporting actors who will play up to a dozen other roles. PVCC students, faculty, staff and community members (aged 18 or older) are encouraged to audition.
