PVCC to host information session on Samsung ultrasound system in August

In partnership with Samsung and X-Ray Visions, Inc., Piedmont Virginia Community College will host the information session, “Getting Started with Contract Enhanced Ultrasound in the Liver,” on Thursday, August 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Main Campus in the auditorium, located at 501 College Drive in Charlottesville. 

The keynote speaker will be Bob DeJong, Jr., ultrasound radiology technical manager at Johns Hopkins Medical Institution in Baltimore, Md. Representatives from Samsung will be on-site to provide an equipment overview of the RS80A with Prestige, a premium radiology ultrasound system.  

This in-service education event is free and open to students, radiographers and sonographers in the community. Attendees are eligible to receive two continuing medical education (CME) credits for participating in the session. Refreshments will also be provided.
