PVCC Chorus to hold annual spring concert on April 29

The Piedmont Virginia Community College Chorus will perform its annual spring concert on Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m., in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building, located on the college’s Main Campus in Charlottesville.

The chorus will continue its tradition of presenting concerts that feature a variety of musical styles. While classical works have a place on the program this year, many of the compositions performed will be from Tony award-winning Broadway favorites including The Sound of Music, The Color Purple, Les Misérables, and more.

The PVCC Chorus is a 32-voice ensemble directed by instructor of choral music Horace Scruggs. PVCC Students and community members may join in this one-credit class without audition. New members are always welcome.

For more information, call the PVCC Box Office at 434.961.5376 or email boxoffice@pvcc.edu. The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive.

This event concludes PVCC’s 2017-2018 Fine Arts and Performance season. The line-up for the 2018-19 twentieth anniversary season will be announced in August 2018.
