Girl Starter TV Tour Stop: Live at IX Art Park on May 26

TLC’s hit reality TV show, Girl Starter, will be coming to Charlottesville’s IX Art Park, located at 522 2nd Street SE, on Friday, May 26, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., for a live tour stop.
Girl Starter educates young women in entrepreneurship, giving them the tools and access to funding that they need to launch their startups.
The purpose of the tour stop is to:
- Cast season two of the TV series by inviting young women locally who are interested in entrepreneurship to come by and put themselves on camera.
- Highlight local starters and mentors, film the content, and broadcast that over platforms.
- Educate communities about Girl Starter. The platform is completely free to all who engage with it.
PVCC's own Bill Pratt, assistant professor of business, and Kathy Reid, Workforce Services contract training program manager, will be taking part in live panel discussions at the event. This event is free and open to the public. Event schedule appears below.
